Kichijien Tourist Farm located in Ueki-machi, northern Kumamoto City, is one of Kyushu’s largest fruit picking spots. You can enjoy various fruit picking throughout the year: strawberries (December-May), grapes (July-September), apples (August-November), pears (August-October), persimmons (October-November), and oranges (October-December).

During the April to late July period, you can enjoy strawberry picking until late April and grape picking starting from early July. The strawberry picking boasts the largest scale in the prefecture, with an impressive 3,000 tsubo farm area and 48,000 strawberry plants.
